The reference rate is based on 12 noon rates of a few select banks in Mumbai. The SDR-rupee rate will be based on this rate. Oct 25, 1999Investments by NRIs/OCBs/PIOs in the shares of Indian CompaniesThe Reserve Bank of India on October 25, 1999 has notified that Non-resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Corporate Bodies (OCBs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) can now purchase equity shares and convertible debentures of M/s. Oct 21, 1999Inter-FII transactions - ClarificationThe Reserve Bank of India has clarified that Inter-Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) transactions do not require either prior approval or post-facto confirmation of the Reserve Bank of India, as such transactions do not affect the percentage of overall FII holdings in Indian companies.
