ഒക്ടോ 10, 2008RBI announces Reduction in CRR for Liquidity ManagementOn October 6, 2008 the Reserve Bank of India announced a reduction of the cash reserve ratio (CRR) for scheduled banks by 50 basis points to 8.5 per cent of net demand and time liabilities (NDTL) with effect from the fortnight beginning October 11, 2008. This measure was undertaken with a view to injecting liquidity into domestic financial markets so as to alleviate the pressures brought on by the deterioration in the global financial environment. ഓഗ 25, 2008RBI and 965 branches of Banks to accept Advance Income TaxAs many as 965 computerised branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These arrangements have been made for the convenience of the income tax assesses. Of the 965 bank branches 900 branches are public sector bank branches, 36 HDFC bank branches, 10 ICICI bank branches and 19 AXIS bank branches. The Reserve Bank of India has advised income tax assesses to take advantage of these standing arrangements made forAs many as 965 computerised branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. State Bank of India branches from August 13, 2008All the branches of State Bank of Saurashtra will now function as branches of State Bank of India. Customers, including depositors, of State Bank of Saurashtra will be able to operate their accounts as customers of State Bank of India.The Government of India has issued the Acquisition of State Bank of Saurashtra Order 2008. Accordingly, the notification dated August 13, 2008 issued by Government of India was published in the Gazette of India under Extraordinary Part IAll the branches of State Bank of Saurashtra will now function as branches of State Bank of India. ജൂൺ 09, 2008RBI and 974 branches of Banks to accept Advance Income TaxAs many as 974 computerised branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These arrangements have been made for the convenience of the income tax assessees. Of the 974 bank branches 898 branches are public sector bank branches, 47 HDFC Bank branches, 9 ICICI Bank branches and 20 AXIS Bank branches. The Reserve Bank of India has advised income tax assessees to take advantage of these standing arrangements made foAs many as 974 computerised branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These arrangements have been made for the convenience of the income tax assessees. നവം 19, 2007RBI and 974 branches of Banks to accept Advance Income TaxAs many as 974 computerised branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These arrangements have been made for the convenience of the income tax assesses. Of the 974 bank branches 898 branches are public sector bank branches, 47 HDFC bank branches, 9 ICICI bank branches and 20 AXIS bank branches. The Reserve Bank of India has advised income tax assesses to take advantage of these standing arrangements made forAs many as 974 computerised branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. ഓഗ 27, 2007RBI sanctions LKB Amalgamation with CBoPThe Reserve Bank of India has sanctioned the Scheme of Amalgamation of Lord Krishna Bank Ltd. with Centurion Bank of Punjab Ltd. The Scheme has been sanctioned in exercise of the powers contained in Sub-section (4) of Section 44A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. The Scheme will come into force with effect from August 29, 2007. All the branches of Lord Krishna Bank Ltd. will function as branches of Centurion Bank of Punjab Ltd. with effect from August 29, 2007. സെപ്റ്റം 12, 2006RBI announces Draft Scheme of Amalgamation of UWB with Industrial Development Bank of India LimitedThe Reserve Bank of India has today placed in public domain a draft scheme of amalgamation of the United Western Bank Ltd. (UWB) with the Industrial Development Bank of India Limited. The draft scheme has also been sent to both the banks. The Reserve Bank has invited suggestions and objections on the draft scheme from the members of public, including the banks' shareholders, depositors and creditors. Placed under MoratoriumOn an application by the Reserve Bank of India, the Central Government has today issued an Order of Moratorium in respect of the United Western Bank Ltd. The Order of Moratorium has been passed by the Central Government in public interest, in the interest of depositors and the banking system.
