Investment by Foreign Institutional Investors under PIS

The Reserve Bank of India on July 26, 2001 has notified that Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) can now purchase equity shares and convertible debentures of NIIT Limited up to 49 per cent of its paid up capital through primary and secondary markets in India under Portfolio Investment Scheme. The company has passed resolution at its Board of Directors' and General Body Meetings for purchase of equity shares and convertible debentures by FIIs upto 49 per cent of its paid-up capital through primary/secondary markets in India.
