Investment by FIIs in Indian companies

The Reserve Bank of India on April 28, 2000 has notified that without its permission, no further purchases of shares of M/s. Penta Media Graphic Ltd. (formerly Pentafour Software & Exports Ltd.), should be made on behalf of foreign institutional investors (FIIs) under the portfolio investment scheme. The Reserve Bank has stated that M/s. Penta Media Graphic Ltd., has reached the limit of 28 per cent of its paid up equity capital.
