RBI's Dividend to GoI

In response to press queries, the RBI spokesperson confirmed that the Reserve Bank Board has, at its meeting held yesterday, decided to transfer a dividend of Rs 9350 crore to the Government of India out of its surplus profit for the year ended June 30, 2001. The amount is the same as that of last year.
