Feb 05, 1999RBI Reference Rate for US $February 5, 1999 The Reserve Bank of Indias Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs.42.47 on 05.02.1999 as against Rs.42.46 on 04.02.1999. The reference rate is based on 12 noon rates of a few select banks in Mumbai. The SDR-rupee rate will be based on this rate. Feb 02, 1999Monitoring NRI Investments in Indian CompaniesThe Reserve Bank India has advised that Non-Resident Indians/Overseas Corporate Bodies/Persons of Indian Origin can now purchase equity shares and convertible debentures of M/s. Matsushita Television & Audio India Ltd. and BPL Ltd. up to 24 per cent of their paid up capital instead of the earlier 10 per cent through stock exchanges under the Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS).
