May 02, 2001Investment by Foreign Institutional InvestorsThe Reserve Bank of India has on May 2, 2001 notified that no further purchases of equity shares of ICICI Bank Ltd., should be made on behalf of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) in the primary/secondary markets without obtaining prior clearance of the Reserve Bank of India. The aggregate net purchase of its equity shares by FIIs has reached the limit of 22 per cent of its paid up equity capital.P.V. Sadanandan Asst. May 02, 2001Repo/Reverse Repo Auction under LAFThe Reserve Bank of India under the Scheme of Liquidity Adjustment Facility, has announced one day repo auction and reverse repo auction in Government of India dated securities and treasury bills of all maturities of 91, 182 and 364 day Treasury Bills on May 3, 2001 (Thursday) for scheduled commercial banks and Primary Dealers holding SGL Account and Current Account with it at Mumbai.
