સપ્ટે 21, 2022MANI (Mobile Aided Note Identifier) - Introduction of multi-lingual audio notificationThe MANI App was launched on January 01, 2020 for aiding visually impaired persons to identify the denomination of Indian Banknotes. This App, which identifies the denomination of banknotes through audio notification in Hindi and English, is now capable of notifying the banknote denomination in 11 other languages (Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu). માર્ચ 28, 2022RBI Governor lays Foundation Stone of Learning and Development Centre (LDC) of BRBNMPLShri Shaktikanta Das, Governor, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), laid foundation stone for the establishment of a Learning and Development Centre (LDC) of the Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of RBI, today (March 28, 2022) in Mysuru. ઑગસ્ટ 04, 2021RBI cautions the public not to fall prey to fictitious offers of buying/ selling of Old Banknotes and CoinsIt has come to the notice of Reserve Bank of India that certain elements are fraudulently using the name/ logo of Reserve Bank of India, and seeking charges/ commission/ tax from public, in transactions related to buying and selling of old banknotes and coins through various online/ offline platforms. It is clarified that Reserve Bank of India does not deal in such matters and never seeks charges/ commissions of any sort. Indian banknotes contain several features which enable the visually impaired (colour blind, partially sighted and blind people) to identify them, viz., intaglio printing and tactile mark, variable banknote size, large numerals, variable colour, monochromatic hues and patterns. These coins have distinctive features. Coins in new denominations to meet transaction needs of public and coins in new designs to reflect various themes - economic, social and cultural - are introduced from time to time. As coins remain in circulation for a longer period, coins of different designs and sizes circulate at the same time. Presently, coins of 50 paise, ₹ 1/-, 2/-, 5/-The Reserve Bank of India puts into circulation coins minted by the Government of India. These coins have distinctive features. The design of these notes is similar in all respects to ₹10 banknotes in Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series. All banknotes in the denomination of ₹10 issued by the Reserve Bank in the past will continue to be legal tender.
