The reference rate is based on 12 noon rates of a few select banks in Mumbai. The SDR-rupee rate will be based on this rate. માર્ચ 03, 1999RBI sets up a "Monitoring Group of Bankers" for close monitoring of the implementation of the revamped and simplified foreign currency export credit schemesOn February 28, 1999 the Reserve Bank of India had announced a scheme for revamping and major simplification of procedures for sanctioning of export credit in foreign currency to exporters, in particular small and medium exporters, at internationally competitive rates.
