ऑग 01, 2001New Banking Ombudsman at MumbaiThe Reserve Bank of India has appointed Shri S. G. Kale, I.A.S. (Retd.) as Banking Ombudsman at Mumbai from August 1, 2001. As Banking Ombudsman, Shri Kale would have his office at Garment House, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli, Mumbai 400 018 and his jurisdiction and authority would extend to complaints against branches and offices of banks located within the territorial limits of the States of Maharashtra and Goa.P.V. ऑग 01, 2001Repo/Reverse Repo Auction under LAFThe Reserve Bank of India under the Scheme of Liquidity Adjustment Facility, has announced one day repo auction and reverse repo auction in Government of India dated securities and treasury bills of all maturities of 91, 182 and 364 day Treasury Bills on August 2, 2001 (Thursday) for scheduled commercial banks and Primary Dealers holding SGLAccount and Current Account with it at Mumbai. जुलै 31, 2001Non-banking non-financial companies need not send deposit returns to RBIThe Reserve Bank of India has reiterated that non-banking non-financial companies need not submit the return of deposits to the Reserve Bank. There is, however, no change in the instructions in relation to non-banking financial companies. It may be recalled that in terms of the provisions contained in the Companies Act, 1956, the non-banking non-financial companies are required to submit the return on deposits mobilised by them to the Registrar of Companies. Copies ofThe Reserve Bank of India has reiterated that non-banking non-financial companies need not submit the return of deposits to the Reserve Bank.
