Clarifying its stand on the Exchange Earners' Foreign Currency (EEFC) Scheme for exporters, the Reserve Bank of India has stated that there has been no proposal of scrapping the scheme. It further added that as earlier pointed out by its Deputy Governor Shri Jagdish Capoor, some exporters had, in fact, expressed a need for continuation of the Scheme. The various features of the Scheme were, therefore, currently under review.
