جنوری 05, 2017Clarification regarding Specified Bank Notes (SBNs)There had been various estimates on SBNs tendered in certain sections. We would like to clarify that the periodical SBN figures released by us were based on aggregation of accounting entries done at the large no of Currency Chests all over the country. Now that the Scheme has come to an end on December 30, 2016, these figures would need to be reconciled with the physical cash balances to eliminate accounting errors/ possible double counts etc. RBI has already initiateThere had been various estimates on SBNs tendered in certain sections. دسمبر 21, 2016Distribution of Banknotes during November 10 to December 19, 2016Consequent to the announcement of withdrawal of Legal Tender status of banknotes of ₹ 500 and ₹ 1000 denominations from the midnight of November 8, 2016, the Reserve Bank of India made arrangements for supply of adequate quantity of banknotes in various denominations to the public through the banks. Over the period from November 10, 2016 upto December 19, 2016, banks have reported that banknotes worth ₹ 5,92,613 crore have been issued to public either over the counterConsequent to the announcement of withdrawal of Legal Tender status of banknotes of ₹ 500 and ₹ 1000 denominations from the midnight of November 8, 2016, the Reserve Bank of India made arrangements for supply of adequate quantity of banknotes in various denominations to the public through the banks. دسمبر 19, 2016Banks should accept Pre-2005 Banknotes in Deposit: RBI clarifiesThe Reserve Bank of India has clarified that bank should accept deposits of pre-2005 banknotes in the denominations of ₹ 500 and ₹ 1000 but not reissue these. These notes can be exchanged at the Reserve Bank Offices only.
