নভেম্বর 05, 2018Reserve Bank of India imposes monetary penalty on FINO Payments Bank LimitedThe Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has, on October 31, 2018, imposed a monetary penalty of ₹ 10 million on FINO Payments Bank Limited (the bank) for contravention of the direction to stop opening of new accounts until further instructions on account of violation of certain licensing conditions and operating guidelines for payments bank. This penalty has been imposed in exercise of powers vested in RBI under the provisions of Section 47A (1) (c) read with Section 46 (4) (The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has, on October 31, 2018, imposed a monetary penalty of ₹ 10 million on FINO Payments Bank Limited (the bank) for contravention of the direction to stop opening of new accounts until further instructions on account of violation of certain licensing conditions and operating guidelines for payments bank. অক্টোবর 29, 2018NSDL Payments Bank Limited commences operationsNSDL Payments Bank Limited has commenced operations as a payments bank with effect from October 29, 2018. The Reserve Bank has issued a licence to the bank under Section 22 (1) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 to carry on the business of payments bank in India. National Securities Depository Limited, Mumbai was one of the 11 applicants which were issued in-principle approval for setting up a payments bank, as announced in the press release on August 19, 2015. AjitNSDL Payments Bank Limited has commenced operations as a payments bank with effect from October 29, 2018. সেপ্টেম্বর 12, 2018RBI extends validity of the Directions issued to the Indian Mercantile Co-operative Bank Ltd., Lucknow, Uttar PradeshThe Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has extended the Directions issued to the Indian Mercantile Co-operative Bank Ltd., Lucknow for a further period of six months from September 12, 2018 to March 11, 2019, subject to review. The bank has been under directions since June 12, 2014 vide directive dated June 4, 2014 issued under sub-section (1) of Section 35A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (AACS).
