Monitoring FIIs Investments in Indian Companies

The Reserve Bank of India has advised that Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) can now purchase equity shares and convertible debentures of Housing Development Finance Corportaion (HDFC) Ltd. up to 40 per cent of its paid up capital instead of the earlier 30 per cent through primary markets and stock exchanges, as this company has passed the resolution at its Board and General Body Meetings.
